Study Overview
Tooele City, in partnership with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), proposed a project to construct a raised median along SR-36 (Main Street) from Skyline Drive to just south of 520 South. The proposed project would have also included the installation of a new traffic signal at the Skyline Drive/Main Street intersection, just north of the raised median, along with crosswalks on the north and east legs of the intersection.
These improvements were proposed as a measure to improve safety and access management at the intersection.
UDOT and Tooele City held a Public Hearing on Thursday, March 5, 2026 to discuss the proposed project and take public comments. See the "Public Meetings" tab above for more details.
