Pioneer Crossing

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is improving Pioneer Crossing (State Route 145) to help reduce rush-hour congestion between I-15 and Redwood Road (State Route 68).

The main construction effort for this project will add capacity with Flex Lanes by converting the existing shoulders and center median into additional travel lanes. To learn more about Flex Lanes, go to the What are Flex Lanes? tab.

Other improvements nearing construction on Pioneer Crossing include:

Additional travel lanes in each direction between Mill Pond Road and I-15, providing a total of four travel lanes in each direction for this section.

An additional westbound lane on Pioneer Crossing from Redwood Road to just west of Mountain View Corridor.

Installation of a new traffic signal at Medical Drive.

Lengthening existing turn-lane pockets and installing additional turn lanes at existing intersections.
