Pioneer Crossing | I-15 to Redwood Road

UDOT is actively studying operational traffic improvements on Pioneer Crossing between I-15 and Mountain View Corridor to address heavy directional traffic during rush hour.

The proposed operational improvements include:

  • Installing Flex Lanes on Pioneer Crossing between Mill Pond Road and Redwood Road by restriping the existing shoulder into travel lanes and converting the center median into a travel lane to provide up to 4 travel lanes during AM and PM rush hours.

  • Installing an additional travel lane in each direction between Mill Pond Road and I-15, providing a total of 4 travel lanes in each direction for this area.

  • Extending the outside travel lane in each direction between Redwood Road and Mountain View Corridor, providing a total of 3 travel lanes in each direction for this area.

  • Constructing intersection modification by extending existing turn lane pockets and installing additional turn lanes.

This map of Pioneer Crossing (State Route 145) highlights the study area from I-15 to Mountain View Corridor with location markers.
