Project Description:

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will reconstruct (x2) I-84 Weber River/Union Pacific RR Bridges two miles east from the mouth of Weber Canyon in Weber County.  Originally constructed in 1965, these bridges are reaching the end of their service life and have already undergone multiple repairs and rehabilitations since 2006. The bridges are now comprised of varied and outdated design details that pose a challenge for continual upkeep.

This project will provide two new structures at this location, each with an anticipated service life of 75 years. These new bridges will also provide updated typical sections, along with improved detailing and geometry, resulting in a safer and more efficient facility for the traveling public.

Please stay tuned for additional information as it becomes available.

See "Impacts & Updates" tab for latest traffic control information.
