Overview
Daytime Lane Closures on Westbound I-80
Starting Monday, Aug. 3, through Thursday, Aug. 13, one westbound I-80 lane will be closed daily between East Canyon Road and Lambs Canyon from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. for utility work. Overnight lane closures will also continue. Drivers should expect delays, reduce speeds, and follow all posted traffic signs.
Project Overview
Improved Roads on I-80
We’re repaving Interstate 80 (I-80) from State Route 65 (SR-65) near Mountain Dell to Lambs Canyon. This work will provide a better driving experience and extend the life of the roadway.
What to Expect
- Nightly lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Construction will continue through August 2026
- Reduced speeds and shifting traffic patterns
