Project Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is constructing a new I-15 Interchange at 1600 S /2700 N and widening the road from Main Street in Spanish Fork to the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Tintic Line in Springville. Construction is anticipated to be completed by summer 2026 and will include: 

  • New I-15 interchange
  • Road widened to two lanes in both directions from Main Street in Spanish Fork to the UPRR Tintic Line in Springville
  • Shared-use path on the north side of the widened road
  • Bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad UPRR Sharp Line 
  • Noise wall from approximately 1120 W to 950 W
  • Utility relocations east of the UPRR Tintic Line

What to Expect During Construction:

Throughout the construction, the public can expect:

  • Work: Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
    • Night and weekend work as needed
  • Increased noise and vibration, intermittently
  • Road closures and lane shifts
  • Minor utility impacts and service disruptions

Schedule

Work Hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Workdays: Monday - Friday

Night and weekend work will take place as needed. 

Construction schedules are dependent on a variety of factors and subject to change.

I-15 Interchange Construction: Early Spring 2025 - Summer 2026

Upcoming Lane Closures:

  • Starting as early as Monday, Nov. 10, through Friday, Nov. 14, the northbound and southbound Express Lanes on I-15 will be closed near Exit 257 (Spanish Fork Main Street) as crews complete work in the median. These closures will occur daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
