Project Overview 

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) widened State Route (SR) 36 between Sunset Lane and Stansbury Park, improved and resurfaced intersections on northbound and southbound SR-36 and added an auxiliary lane on eastbound I-80 from SR-36 to the SR-201 exit. This project was done to improve mobility and reduce congestion for drivers. Construction was done in phases and continued through 2026.

Construction 2024 - 2026

Adding a lane to southbound SR-36 took place from summer 2024 to spring 2025. Construction to add another lane on northbound SR-36 and an auxiliary lane on eastbound I-80 took place summer 2025 to fall 2026.
