I-15 | South Cedar Interchange | Improved

Project On Track to Begin Construction in Spring 2027

Design of the new I-15 South Cedar Interchange has completed, and a contractor is anticipated to be selected in fall 2026. 

This project will convert the existing interchange to a Single-Point Urban Interchange (SPUI), bringing all left turns on the interstate to a single traffic signal. The interchange will:

• Enhance the safety and operation of surrounding intersections
• Reduce off-ramp queue times extending onto mainline I-15
• Improve pedestrian and cyclist safety and connectivity through the interchange
• Improve overall user connectivity and experience

The project will add new sidewalks and a pedestrian bridge south of the interchange. Additionally, the Providence Center Drive/Royal Hunte Drive and Main Street/Cedar Boulevard intersections will also be widened to include dual left-turn lanes in all directions.
