PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is constructing a new, two-lane frontage road adjacent to southbound I-215 from 4100 South to 4700 South in Taylorsville. Improvements will also include:

  • A new east-west road connecting the new frontage road to 2700 West
  • Retaining walls
  • A box culvert at North Jordan Canal
  • Improvements to trail connections
  • A third westbound 4700 S through-lane at I-215

The purpose of this project is to improve connectivity from I-215 to the local roadway network, enhancing the mobility of people, goods and services to and from the project area.

Road work is begins in several locations throughout the project area. This includes an access shift/detour at the DFCM Taylorsville Complex (see Work Updates tab for more information).

April 24 - May 2, 2024

Crews will be working at night to break up concrete paving on I-215 Southbound and remove the material. Nearby residents should expect an increase in noise, dust, vibration, construction lighting and truck traffic.
