Project Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation improved SR-113 at 400 East (River Road) in Midway by installing a four-way signal with dedicated turn lanes, pedestrian access with crosswalks, and bike lanes. These improvements were designed to streamline traffic, reduce delays, and make the intersection safer for motorists and active transportation users.

Key Features Included:
• New four-way traffic signal at SR-113 and 400 East (River Road)
• Dedicated turn lanes to improve traffic flow
• Pedestrian access improvements with marked crosswalks
• New bike lanes to support active transportation users

Construction Impacts:
During construction, motorists were shifted into open lanes as necessary, with stops required for one-way traffic-light operations. Periodic full closures along 400 East (River Road) required posted detour routes. Travel delays generally ranged from 5–10 minutes. Alternate pedestrian access was provided during construction, and equipment generated light to moderate noise. Two-way travel was maintained during non-working hours and holidays.

Major construction was completed, and crews worked to restore areas affected by construction.Map of Project Area/SR-113 River Road
