Kaysville Main Street and 200 North Improved
Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) roadway improvements are undereway on SR-273, including sections of 200 North and Main Street in Kaysville.
The project includes:
- US-89 bridge deck rehabilitation
- Pedestrian ramp upgrades to meet ADA standards
- Roadway signage updates
- Intersection improvements at 100 N. and Center St.
- Pavement resurfacing
Project completion is expected by late summer 2025, with a winter shut-down from early fall 2024 to late spring 2025.
Schedule and Construction Impacts
August 19, 2024: Main St. Bridge over US-89 (near Cherry Hill)
- Bridge deck rehabilitation is expected to take approx. six weeks.
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction over the bridge.
August 19, 2024: Pedestrian Ramp and Roadway Signage Upgrades
- Includes approx. 50 pedestrian sidewalk ramp upgrades at various intersections along Main St. and 200 N. to meet ADA standards.
- Construction will require roadway shoulder and sidewalk closures.
- Construction is expected to continue through early fall 2024.
Sept.-Oct. 2024: Main St. and 100 N. and Center St. Intersections
- Includes construction of intersection bulb-outs on the west side of Main St./100 N. and on the east side of Main St./Center St.
- This work will facilitate Kaysville’s conversion of 100 N. to one-way westbound between Main St. and 100 W. and Center St. to one-way eastbound from Main St. to 100 E.
- 10-day side-street closures of 100 N. and Center St. will be in place.
Late Spring 2025: SR-273 (Main St. & 200 N.) Resurfacing
- Paving will occur at night and will include lane closures.
- Paving is expected to be complete by mid-summer 2025.
Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) construction activities are progressing along the SR-273 corridor (Main Street and 200 North) in Kaysville and Fruit Heights.
Center Street Closure: September 9-19 (see flyer below)
- Center Street will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians Sept. 9-19 between Main Street and 100 East to facilitate Kaysville City’s conversion of Center Street to a one-way street in this section. The road is expected to reopen to traffic as a one-way street on Friday, September 20. During the closure, pedestrians will be detoured to 50 West.
SR-273 (Main St. & 200 N.) Resurfacing
- Crews plan to complete asphalt milling and paving for soft spot repairs at various locations along 200 North and commercial areas of Main Street during the day on Sunday, Sept. 15. The work is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Motorists should expect lane closures in work zones throughout the day.
- Crews will return in late spring 2025 to complete resurfacing of the entire SR-273 corridor along 200 North (I-15 to Main Street) and Main Street (200 North to US-89).
Main St. Bridge over US-89 (near Cherry Hill)
- Bridge deck rehabilitation is expected to wrap up by Saturday, Sept. 7 and traffic control will be removed from the bridge.
Pedestrian Ramp and Roadway Signage Upgrades
- Pedestrian sidewalk ramp upgrades at various intersections along Main St. and 200 N. are expected to wrap up by mid-September.
- Roadway shoulder and sidewalk closures are effective in work zones.
Schedule
Works began week of Aug. 19, 2024. Project completion is expected by late summer 2025, with a winter shut-down planned from early fall 2024 to late spring 2025.
