Project on Hold

Dear Neighbor,

At the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), we are committed to Keeping Utah Moving by improving mobility and being responsible stewards of public funds.

For the past year, we have been working tirelessly on developing solutions to improve the Wasatch Blvd and Ft. Union Blvd intersection - focusing on safer, more efficient travel for all users while supporting a connected and multimodal transportation network.

After careful review of the proposed design, anticipated benefits, and overall costs, we have determined that the improvements would not provide enough public benefit to justify the cost of construction. As a result, UDOT does not plan to move this project forward at this time.

We appreciate the time, feedback, and engagement of the community throughout this process. While this project will not proceed, UDOT remains committed to exploring future opportunities to improve canyon access and traffic operations in the area.

If you have any questions, please contact us at 855-925-2801 (code: 4908) or wasatchftunion@utah.gov.

Sincerely,

The Wasatch Blvd & Ft. Union Project Team
