Construction Update| July 11, 2024

SR-134 (4700 W.) Bridge

Crews are continuing work on the SR-134 bridge. Property access will continue to remain open to residents and businesses only. The road over the bridge is closed to all traffic and pedestrians crossing the bridge.

Ongoing Work

  • Crews are repairing the girders under the bridge
  • Installing new bridge joints to strengthen the bridge
  • Crews will be excaving on the south end of the project

Attention Drivers: Slow down, exercise caution and watch for children. This detour route has a high population of both non-verbal children and children with sensory issues.

UDOT and the Weber County Sheriff's office have partnered together to ensure safety mechanisms are in place to protect all users. The project area will be frequently patrolled and tickets will be issued to those not following posted signage.

Suggested Detour for the SR-134 Bridge Closure

4700 W. (SR-134) Bridge Closure Detour

 SR-204 (Wall Ave.) Bridge

The Ogden River Parkway trail is closed through July 19 for work to continue underneath the bridge.* See below for detour route.

Crews are continuing work underneath the bridge deck. Traffic, on the west side of the bridge, is reduced to one lane in each direction with the occasional flagging operations. Drivers can continue to expect heavy delays during peak travel times. We recommend using an alternate route if possible. Business access will be maintained.

Ongoing Work

  • Crews are getting ready to install the framework for bridge joint work
  • Structural repair work underneath the bridge is ongoing
