SR-113 at 400 East(River Road) in Midway by installing a four-way signal with dedicated turn lanes, pedestrian access with crosswalks, and bike lanes.
Project Overview
We are improving SR-113 at 400 East (River Road) in Midway by installing a four-way signal with dedicated turn lanes, pedestrian access with crosswalks, and bike lanes. These changes aim to streamline traffic, reduce delays, and make the intersection safer for motorists and active transportation users.
Key Features of the Project Include:
• New four-way traffic signal at SR-113 and 400 East (River Road)
• Dedicated turn lanes to improve traffic flow
• Pedestrian access improvements with marked crosswalks
• New bike lanes to support active transportation users
Construction Impacts
Motorists can expect to be shifted into open lanes as necessary. Be prepared to stop for one-way traffic-light operations. There may also be full closures along 400 East (River Road) at times; detour routes will be posted. Please anticipate light delays between 5–10 minutes. Alternate pedestrian access will be available during construction. Some light to moderate noise from equipment can be expected. Two-way travel will remain in place during non-working hours and holidays.
**One-way alternating traffic will be in place on Midway Main Street from 300 East to 500 East from March 9 through approximately April 27. At this time, the intersection entrance at 500 East and Main Street will be closed during daylight hours. Please use caution when approaching the construction zone and slow down for crews and traffic control.
