Project Background

UDOT conducted a safety project on US-91 (Main Street) in Smithfield, between 800 South and 1000 South. This project included construction of a new median curb to eliminate all left turns along this stretch of roadway, in an effort to reduce the number of severe crashes in the area.

In addition, this project included asphalt resurfacing, new road striping, and installing updated road signs. 

Work began on July 29, 2024 and concluded in mid-September 2024.
