US-6 | Diamond Fork to Thistle Junction | Safety Project
UDOT is improving nearly 5 miles of US-6 from Diamond Fork Road to the US-89 intersection with median barriers, lighting, and drainage improvements.
Project Overview
We are improving nearly 5 miles of US-6 from Diamond Fork Road to the US-89 intersection (milepost 183 to 187). Crews are installing concrete median barriers to improve safety and prevent head-on collisions. Additionally, we are improving lighting along the corridor for enhanced visibility and making drainage improvements to keep water off the roadway. The road will be restricted to one lane in each direction at all times for the duration of the project.
Alert: Cattle drives along US-6 from Diamond Fork Road to Covered Bridge Drive will take place on several Thursdays throughout October, beginning on Thursday, October 2. Drivers should expect cattle along the shoulder of US-6 around midday. Utah Highway Patrol will be on site to assist.
