US Route 6 Chicken Hollow to Tie Fork Improved

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is making multiple improvements to US-6 in Utah County from milepost (MP) 189.5 to 201.4. The road is expanding from two to five lanes, including deceleration and acceleration lanes connecting to Sheep Creek Road. Other planned improvements include upgrading the Sheep Creek Road Intersection with US-6 and pavement rehabilitation. Construction began January 5, 2026 and is expected to conclude in 2027.

Impacts

Nearby residents can expect an increase of dust, vibrations, light and noise during work hours. Motorists can expect delays of up to fifteen minutes during work hours (7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on weekdays) as some lanes will be closed to accommodate work such as asphalt and concrete removal and replacement.
