Project Overview

UDOT will place a chip seal road treatment along approximately ten miles of US-40 in Uintah County to preserve and extend the life of the pavement.

Project Timeline

April 2026: Crews sealed existing cracks in the asphalt to prepare the road for resurfacing in the summer.

Late June 2026: Crews will place a chip seal road treatment, install guardrail, and replace signage along the route. This is expected to take up to two months to complete.

Early August 2026: All roadwork is expected to be completed.

Schedule

Work Hours: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Workdays: Monday - Friday

Weekend work may take place if needed. 

Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions and material availability.
