In an effort to preserve and extend the life of the pavement, UDOT will renew approximately 30 miles of U.S. 40 in Wasatch/Duchesne County between Soldier Creek near Strawberry Reservoir and Duchesne. Work will include crack sealing, asphalt repairs, the placement of a new road surface (called a chip seal), and road sign updates. This project will improve safety and driving conditions along this highly-traveled corridor.
Click here for information about the same work on another section of U.S. 40 between Clegg Canyon and Daniels Summit.
Crack sealing work was completed in December 2021. Crews are expected to return to make asphalt repairs, place a new road surface, and replace guardrail along the corridor starting at the end of July 2022. No traffic impacts will be in place until work resumes.
