US-191 | Simplot to Red Cloud Loop | Paving
UDOT is crack sealing US-191 between Simplot Phosphates and Red Cloud Loop.
Project Overview
As early as March 2, 2026, UDOT will begin a project along approximately nine miles of US-191 to preserve and extend the life of the pavement by placing a chip seal road treatment (see map).
This project also includes safety improvements like guardrail installation and sign replacements along the construction route.

Construction will take approximately 3 months to complete.
March 2, 2026: Crews will begin a crack seal along the construction route.
Late March to May 2026: Crews will place a chip seal road treatment, install guardrail, and replace signage along the route.
Schedule
Work Hours: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Weekend work may take place as needed.
Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions and material availability.
