UDOT NOTICE OF A PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE MEETING

Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is proposing improvements on US-189 at 5600 North in Provo Utah. The proposed improvements include adding a traffic signal at the intersection, limiting traffic from Canyon Road onto northbound US-189. Drivers on Canyon Road will not be able to turn left onto southbound US-189 or travel through to 5600 N. Eastbound vehicles on 5600 North will be able to cross US-189 or make either a left- or right-hand turn movement.

The categorical exclusion study and roadway design are anticipated to be complete before the end of 2024 with construction anticipated in the spring of 2025.

This notice is to inform the public that there will be a Public Open House for this project to provide information about the design and to provide an opportunity to ask questions of the design team. Comments about the project will be received in person at the meeting. A draft of the categorical exclusion study is available for review at http://udotinput.utah.gov/us189intersectionsafety. If you have questions about this Public Open House, please contact us189intersectionsafety@utah.gov or 1-800-945-2744.
