State Route 132 Safety Improvement Projects (Near Nebo Loop Road) to 
Work is continuing by the Utah Department of Transportation on constructing additional passing lanes in each direction eas of the Mt. Nebo bypass.  The construction team has now completed all drainage work, moisture barrier, and granular borrow and will begin paving operations following the Labor Day Weekend.

In observance of the Labor Day Weekend no work impacting traffic is scheduled. 

You may encounter one-way traffic with flaggers and pilot car operation during the peak of the paving activities. Delays of up to 15 minutes are permitted, however traffic often determines shorter wait times.

 

Project Description

The State Route 132 project is the first of three projects identified by UDOT as Safety Improvement Projects. The first phase is the construction of the passing lanes in each direction. The eastbound passing lane will run 2.6 miles while the westbound passing lane will be 2.2 miles in length. The project is expected to last through October of 2023.

Schedule

Work will continue in preparation for paving through Thursday, August 31 along the construction zone. Then following the Labor Day Weekend crews will begin placing asphalt throughout the project boundaries.

You may encounter intermitment lane closures or one-way flagging operations.
