SR-132 Safety Project
CONSTRUCTION OF WESTBOUND AND EASTBOUND PASSING LANES
State Route 132 Safety Improvement Projects (Near Nebo Loop Road) to Begin as Early as May 15, 2023
Beginning as early as May 15 Utah Department of Transportation will begin construction adding passing lanes in each direction near the Mt. Nebo bypass. The first phase of the project will take place on the eastbound lane. During the early phase of construction, drivers should experience only minor delays if any, however; caution is urged as there will be heavy machinery moving throughout the construction zone.
Project Description
The State Route 132 project is the first of three projects identified by UDOT as Safety Improvement Projects. The first phase is the construction of the passing lanes in each direction. The eastbound passing lane will run 2.6 miles while the westbound passing lane will be 2.2 miles in length. The project is expected to last through October of 2023.
Schedule
Beginning as early as May 1, crews will begin mobilizing equipment throughout the construction zone. Once in place, heavy equipment will begin clearing and removing brush and start excavating the space designated for the new westbound lanes.
Construction will start on the eastbound direction of travel. You may encounter intermitment lane closures or one-way flagging operations.
