Project Overview
We are is installing fiber optic line in Weber and Morgan Counties along State Route 167 (Trappers Loop) from Mountain Green to Pineview spanning approximately 12 miles. This project will include fiber and utility installation, roadway milling and paving, and shoulder work. This project supports the department’s focus on building roadway fiber optic infrastructure to provide broadband connectivity to rural communities for critical needs, including telemedicine, distance learning and telecommuting.
Work began Monday, September 8, 2025 and is anticipated to be completed by Summer 2026.

What to Expect
- Daytime work Monday - Friday (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.)
- Occasional weekend work
- Moving operations throughout the project area
- Lane shifts and restrictions
- Noise, dust, and vibration
- Heavy equipment, support vehicles, and crew members
- Minor delays

Work Hours: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Workdays: Monday - Friday (occasional weekend work)
