The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is actively designing improvements to the South Bluff Street Corridor with input from the City of St. George and other entities. Our Right-of-Way team is contacting individual property owners to discuss possible impacts and resolution options.

This portion of the project will wrap up in 2025, and the project will advertise for contractors to bid on in Winter 2026 with construction starting in Spring 2026. (See timeline below.)

Bluff Street Project Schedule

St. George Blvd; Bluff Street to River Road - Renewed

On Sunday, August 3, 2025 the Utah Department of Transportation will begin a roadway improvement project on St. George Blvd between Bluff Street and River Road. This project will include upgrades to the electrical systems, Pedestrian Ramps, replacement of the top layer of asphalt, and new pavement signs and striping. Substantial completion of the project is scheduled for November 2025.

PROJECT SCHEDULE 

All business access will be maintained during operations. There will be lane closures during night work with traffic resuming a normal pattern by 6 a.m. each day. These upgrades are part of standard maintenance to keep our roads in the best conditions and avoid costly repairs.
When traveling through the corridor, motorists should remain aware of signage, and yield to all construction activities. Thank you for your patience!
