Monday, August 19 - Monday, August 26: Motorists can expect no delays as crews continue to install signs and complete shoulder week. Please be patient and watch for crews working next to live traffic.

In addition, there will be changing traffic patterns throughout the project as crews remove and install new guardrail between Virgin and Rockville.

Monday, August 26 to Thursday, August 29:

Starting on Monday, August 26 and continuing through Thursday, August 29*, there will be one-lane traffic operations over the bridge between Virgin and Rockville. Traffic lights will be used and monitored to adjust to traffic ebbs and flows. Drivers can expect up to a 15 minute delay in each direction, 24 hours a day.

Crews are installing a final polymer coat to preserve the bridge deck and improve longevity.

HOLIDAY OBSERVANCE: Work on the project will be suspended to celebrate the Labor Day Holiday from midnight on Thursday, August 29 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3. A skeleton crew will check the project for any needed adjustments.

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) started improvements to SR-9 near Virgin, UT and Rockville, UT on Monday, July 15, 2024. This work will improve safety through the corridor, upgrade the asphalt surface and enhance the durability of the roadway. Improvements include:

Asphalt removal and replacement - MP 19 to MP 21 near Virgin a)d MP 22 to MP 25 near Rockville from July 15 to August 7, 2024. Traffic patterns will be changing during this time.*
Guardrail safety improvements in designated areas - August 2 to mid-September 2024.*
Rockville Bridge Rehabilitation - August 2024.*
New rumble strips, sign posts and pavement marking paint - September to October 2024.*

It is anticpated the project will be completed by mid-October 2024.

*Schedule is subject to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
