Project Description

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface State Route 77 in Utah County from Main Street in West Springville City to SR-147 near the Lakeshore community. The project objectives are aimed at preserving the life of the roadway. This resurfacing process will help increase the longevity of the road surface, address roadway imperfections and enhance motorist safety by providing good skid resistance for vehicles. Additional work will include updated roadway signage, travel lane painting/striping, and road surface directional markings.

Phase 1: May 6 - June 7

  • Intersection and property access paving/gravel applications (near completion)
  • Paving application along entire route.

Tuesday, May 28 - Friday, June 7

  • Gravel material added to smooth edge of asphalt to the shoulders (shouldering).
  • New/Upgraded roadside sign installations
  • Temporary travel lane striping

This entire phase will take approximately 1 month to complete

Phase 2: August 19 - 28

  • Chip-Seal coat resurfacing. Primarily from Palmyra Dr.. to SR-147.  

!! Expect lane width restrictions !!

  • Permanent travel lane, roadway directional painting and striping
  • Miscellaneous work TBA

The resurfacing work should take just over 1 week to complete, with additional work continuing for an additional 5 days.

East-side Paving: Spring 2025

Due to ongoing municipal and county work occuring on the eastern third of the route, crews will return in Spring 2025 to finish the final coat of chip-seal paving from Palmryra Dr.(4000 S) to Main Street in West Springville.
