Project Overview
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will install a traffic signal at the intersection of Eagle Mountain Boulevard and State Route 73 (Cory B Wride Highway) beginning as early as Monday, April 20. This new configuration will be a High-T intersection, a 3-legged intersection allowing one direction of main-road traffic, in this case westbound, to flow through without stopping, while the opposite directions and side streets are signalized. The new intersection will also provide a free right from Eagle Mountain Boulevard to eastbound SR-73.
UDOT performed a traffic signal warrant study of the intersection that concluded that it meets the criteria necessary for a signal light to be installed. The installation of the signals will help improve turn movements for greater safety at the intersection.
