Overview

Project Overview

To extend the life of 700 East (State Route 71), the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface the asphalt, replace existing raised medians, and upgrade non-compliant ADA pedestrian ramps along 700 East (SR-71) between 11500 South and 12300 South in Draper. Construction is planned to begin August 10 and complete by the end of October, 2026.. This work will help keep the road smooth, last longer, and make your daily drive more comfortable.

No major changes to the design of the road are expected. The same number of lanes will remain when the project is completed. 700 East may be closed at night near the UTA tracks to facilitate paving. Schedule information will be shared here and via email updates as work progresses.
