Eastbound I-80 Ramp Closure

The off-ramp from eastbound I-80 to SR-201 will close overnight from 7 p.m. Monday, May 18, until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19. During this time, drivers can use the SR-202 exit. Use caution when traveling through the work zone and follow all posted traffic control signage. 

Westbound I-80 Lane Closure

Starting as early as Monday, May 11, and continuing for approximately two weeks, westbound I-80 will be reduced to two lanes intermittently between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day while crews install an underground pipe. Drivers should use caution and expect delays drive through the work zone.

Paving at Sunset Road and SR-36

Crews are paving a portion of the Sunset Road and SR-36 intersection. Sunset Road on the east side of SR-36 will be reduced to one lane in each direction starting as early as Tuesday, May 5, for up to two weeks to accommodate the work. During this time, drivers can still make all movements at the intersection.

Construction: 2025 to 2026

 

  • Starting Monday, June 16, construction will begin on northbound SR-36 between Interstate 80 (I-80) and Stansbury Parkway. 
    • Intersections will be improved and resurfaced after widening.
    • An auxillary lane will be added to eastbound I-80 from SR-36 to the SR-201 exit.
