SR-24 Maintenance
SR-24 Maintenance
The Utah Department of Transportation will be conducting a chip seal and pavement rehabilitation on SR-24 from the Hanksville Airport to I-70. This project will continue from May, 28 through the middle of July.
Project Overview
Beginning on Tuesday, May 28 the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will begin work to
improve SR-24 from the Hanksville Airport to I-70. These improvements will include a chip seal,
and pavement rehabilitation. During the project a flagging operation will be used, which means
in the area where work is being done, the roadway will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
Motorists will be queued and guided through with a pilot vehicle. This delay should remain under
15 minutes. The project will continue until the middle of July 2024. Crews are scheduled to
work from 7 a.m. until sunset Monday through Saturday.
During this project motorists are encouraged to remain aware of surroundings, and follow all
posted signage. When traveling through a flagging area, please follow the pilot car, and do not
pass. For any questions feel free to contact the public involvement team at the phone number
