SR-224 Preservation Project: Marsac Roundabout to SR-248

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is conducting pavement preservation improvements along State Route 224 (SR-224) between Marsac Roundabout and State Route 248 (SR-248) in Park City. This project is designed to preserve and extend the life of the roadway, improve ride quality, and maintain safe and reliable travel throughout the corridor. The project is anticipated to begin July 20, 2026 and be completed in Fall 2026.

Project Improvements

Project improvements include pavement preservation and resurfacing, ADA pedestrian ramp upgrades, sidewalk improvements, pavement marking and striping updates, sign replacements and upgrades, limited traffic signal improvements, and landscaping restoration.

What to Expect

Residents, businesses, and travelers may experience:

  • Temporary lane and shoulder closures

  • Traffic shifts

  • Reduced speeds through work zones

  • Nighttime construction noise during paving operations

  • Construction lighting directed toward work areas

  • Temporary pedestrian and bicycle route adjustments

To reduce daytime traffic impacts, milling and paving operations will occur overnight between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. (8 a.m. on Sunday mornings). Access to homes, businesses, transit facilities, and local destinations will be maintained throughout construction

The road preservation effort is occurring on Porter Rockwell Boulevard between Harmon Day Drive and 14600 South.
