SR-201 | I-80 On & Off Ramps | Tooele County | Bridge Work

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will be undergoing bridge deck repair work on SR-201 at two locations starting this September 2026 in Tooele county. This work is necessary to maintain and restore the smooth driving surface. The first location is on the on/off bridge ramps of SR-201 @ I-80. The second bridge location is on SR-201 at approximately 9200 W. This work will require some nighttime lane reductions and consecutive weekend closures of SR-201 for motorist who are planning to reach I-80.

Project Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will be undergoing bridge deck repair work on SR-201 at two locations starting this September 2026 in Tooele county. This work is necessary to maintain and restore the smooth driving surface. The first location is on the on/off bridge ramps of SR-201 @ I-80. The second bridge location is on SR-201 at approximately 9200 W. This work will require some nighttime lane reductions and consecutive weekend closures of SR-201 for motorist who are planning to reach I-80. Please reference the Impacts & Updates Tab for SR-201 road closure maps and schedule tables.  Ramp closure dates are highly dependent on weather conditions.

Work Hours: Daytime & Nighttime hours

Workdays:

SR-201 closures @ I-80 on/off Ramps: Fri Night - Mon Morning

SR-201 @ 9200 West: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu Nights Only

*Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions and material availability.

Construction will begin in September 2026

Starting as early as Monday night, September 7, and continuing nightly for up to one month.  (See Schedule)

  • Bridge Work @ 9200 west with pothole patching repairs
  • Plan on single lane restrictions through the construction zone
  • Plan on light delays nightly from approximately 10pm to 6am

Starting as early as Friday night, September 11, and running continuously each weekend for up to four weekends.  

  • Bridge work on SR-201 on/off ramps @ I-80
  • Plan on full closures of SR-201 in either direction
