Project Overview

The SR-16 Bridge Work project will replace two bridges and several pipe culvert crossings in Rich County between Woodruff and Randolph. The bridge replacements are located at Francis Road south of Woodruff and over the Woodruff-Randolph Canal south of Randolph. The culvert replacements are located just north of Francis Road.

The goal of this project is to bring the bridges and culverts into a state of good repair while continuing to support safe, reliable travel for all users of the corridor.

Project Timeline

Construction of the project is expected to begin in June 2026, with anticipated completion in Summer 2027. The project will have a winter shutdown in December 2026 and will return in Spring 2027.

 

Schedule

Work Hours: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Workdays: Monday - Friday

No weekend or night work planned

Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions and material availability.

Construction June 1

 

  • Beginning on June 1, the project will begin work on the pipe culvert crossings. This work will require one-way traffic that will be controlled by flaggers. 
  • Beginning in July, the project will begin work on the bridges and one-way traffic will be extended between the two bridges.
