The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) began constructing improvements to SR-14 on July 20.
The top layer of asphalt has been removed. The placement of new asphalt began on July 20 and will continue through August 2026. Crews will begin removing and replacing the guardrail along the roadway from August 7 until October 14. The project will be completed at the end of October 2026.

Project Overview
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) began constructing improvements to SR-14 on July 20.
The top layer of asphalt has been removed. The placement of new asphalt began on July 20 and will continue through August 2026. Crews will begin removing and replacing the guardrail along the roadway from August 7 until October 14. The project will be completed at the end of October 2026. A pilot car is being used for traffic control during paving and a traffic light near MP 12. The traffic light is positioned at the beginning of the S-turn near Cedar Canyon Camp Ground. Motorists should expect up to 15-minute delays in each direction.
Improvements include:
- Replace and resurface roadway.
- Installed guardrail in designated areas/
- Installation of a new box culvert.
- New signage along the roadway.
