State Route 147 Renewed
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is resurfacing state highways SR-141 and SR-147 to extend the life of the roadway (see map). Work will begin in Santaquin and includes removing 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of pavement to smooth out the road surface, followed by a Chip-Seal surface treatment (Chip-Seal is a two-step process which includes first an application of asphalt emulsion and then a layer of crushed rock to an existing asphalt pavement surface). Some guard rail work will also take place along the project.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions and material availability.
IMPACTS
Driveways and entrances will be accessible during construction but will experience brief interruptions. Businesses and residents nearby may experience noise, dust, and vibrations from the equipment. Motorists may experience lane shifts and/or single-lane traffic restrictions within areas of the work zones.
SAFETY
Please drive carefully when traveling through construction areas and pay attention to all traffic signs, barrels, the workers, and equipment within the work zones.
