SR-143 | Garfield & Iron County | Improved

Construction started on May 18 and will be completed by September 2026.This project will make improvements for 20 miles. Motorists can expect up to 15-minute delays in each direction with Pilot Car operations during the course of the project. Crews will be working Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic will flow in a normal pattern during non-working hours.

Project Overview

This project made improvements on both lanes for 10 miles. The project has reached substantial completion of all constructed improvements. Thank you for your patience during construction.

Design

Design for this project is complete. These improvements are improving cattleguards throughout the project area and improve driving conditions with new asphalt pavement on SR-143.
