Ongoing Work
Crews finished paving the road and completed road striping, with the removal of the temporary signals. Crews will hydroseed this week and complete final clean up before a winter hiatus. Crews will be back in spring to complete chip and sealing the road.
What is chip and seal?
Chip seal is a process used to seal small cracks and prevent water from penetrating the road base. Chip sealing a road helps improve traction, and extend the life of the roadway.

Driver Reminders:
Lane shifts and temporary signalized traffic control will remain in place throughout the work zone. Plan for short-term delays and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area.
Project Overview
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will be replacing a box culvert on State Route 12 from approximately milepost (MP) 6 to MP 7. This project includes renewing the roadway surface and replacing a box culvert. This project will extend the life of the roadway and improve drainage. Work began Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
What to Expect
- Daytime, nightwork, and occasional weekend work
- Limited cell service
- Intermittent and temporary traffic restrictions
- Short-term 20-minute delays during daytime operation
- Noise, dust, vibration, and nighttime lighting
- Heavy equipment, support vehicles, and crew memebers in the area
