Final Project Update

Construction on the SR-12 Box Culvert project is now complete. As part of the final phase of work, crews applied a chip seal treatment to help protect and preserve the roadway surface, place a flush coat to improve long-term pavement durability, and installed the final permanent roadway striping and pavement markings.

The project hotline and email will remain active this week to assist with any remaining questions. After that time, the project hotline will be closed. Driver Reminders:

Lane shifts, temporary signalized traffic control and intermittent flagging operations with two-way reversing traffic will remain in place throughout the work zone during active construction.

Drivers should plan for short-term delays, allow extra travel time, and use caution while traveling through the area. 

Project Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) replaced a box culvert on State Route 12 from approximately milepost (MP) 6 to MP 7. This project included renewing the roadway surface and replacing a box culvert. This project will extend the life of the roadway and improve drainage. Work began in summer 2025 and was completed in late June 2026.

What to Expect 

• Daytime, nightwork, and occasional weekend work

• Intermittent and temporary traffic restrictions
