Traffic Alert
As early as Sept. 2 through late September, we will reduce State Route 126 to a single lane, alternating one-way on weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., as part of the SR-126 Paving project. This lane closure will take place on weekdays and is needed to accommodate road paving activities. The location of the closure will vary as paving activities progress. Partial ramp closures on I-15 are planned for mid-September.
Labor Day Holiday Schedule
In observance of the Labor Day holiday, no work will take place in the project area beginning the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 29, through Monday, Sept. 1.
Overview
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is repaving eight miles of State Route 126 between State Route 39 (1200 South) and U.S. Route 89 from Marriott-Slaterville to South Willard, Utah. The project is helping improve the pavement conditions, extend the life of the road, and enhance the driving experience for all users. Additional work includes restriping access ramps, bridge repairs, and replacing outdated signs along the corridor.

Aug. 29, 2025

This lane closure will take place on weekdays and is needed to accommodate road paving activities. The location of the closure will vary as paving activities progress. Partial ramp closures on I-15 are planned for mid-September.
Drivers can expect:
- Roadwork Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and some nightwork on weekends
- Flaggers and a pilot car to direct traffic
- Minor delays
- Increased noise, dust, and vibration near the project area
- Partial ramp closures on I-15
Plan Your Travel
To avoid delays in the project area, plan ahead, travel before or after construction work hours, and use alternate routes when possible. Drivers are advised to stay alert and remain cautious through these areas as heavy equipment enters and exits the work zone. This lane closure will take place on weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is needed to accommodate road paving activities. The location of the closure will vary as paving activities progress.

- Loose gravel and dust
- Noise and vibration
Drivers are advised to stay alert and remain cautious through these areas as heavy equipment enters and exits the work zone. Please plan ahead to avoid potential delays due to the lane closures or seek alternate routes.

On Sunday, Aug. 10, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., there was an eastbound and westbound closure at the intersection of State Route 126 (1900 W.) and Pioneer Road (400 N.) in Marriott-Slaterville. This closure was needed to accommodate road paving activities. Please use caution, expect some travel delays and follow posted detours routes.

July 31, 2025
Roadwork will take place at night for the first week and during the day throughout the project. Motorists can expect lane closures, detours, and slower traffic through work zones. There will be at least one full closure of 400 North during the first week of the project. Please use caution, follow posted detours, and allow a little extra time if traveling in the area when construction is happening.
