SR-318 Improved
SR-318 Improved
On Monday, February 24, 2025 crews began constructing a new northbound, right-turn lane into Quail Creek State Park from SR-318, the road used to access the state park. Traffic patterns will be changing and users of this road are asked to slow down and observe all traffic control in this tight space. Access to the park will be maintained. Additional road surface improvements will include microsurfacing to extend the longevity of the road.
Thank you for your patience! Additional information will be added to this site throughout construction.
It is anticipated construction will be finished by May 2025.
On Thursday, May 15, crews will fix rumble-strips, apply a second layer of pavement marking and finish thermoplastic markings throughout the project area. The new right-turn lane has a speed limit of 5 miles per hour; please slow down and use caution when exiting right off of SR-318.
Crews will return in the Fall of 2025 to place native vegetation seeding in designated areas.
