US-40 Pavement Preservation
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) resurfaced approximately ten miles of US-40 in Uintah County between the turn-off to SR-88 and 1500 South in Vernal.
This project helped to preserve the life of the pavement by resurfacing the road with a chip and seal coat overlay. This process helped prevent the deterioration of the road surface over time and improved motorist safety by providing good traction and skid resistance for vehicles.
