The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is repaving Interstate 80 (I-80) west of Kimball Junction to east of U.S. Route 40. Work is anticipated to begin as early as June 16, 2025, and continue through fall 2025.
Project Overview
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is repaving Interstate 80 (I-80) west of Kimball Junction to east of U.S. Route 40. This project will extend the life of the roadway and provide a smoother ride for drivers. Work is anticipated to begin as early as June 16, 2025, and continue through fall 2025.
What to expect during construction:
- Nighttime work Monday–Saturday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m.
- Increased noise, dust, and vibration near the project area
- Intermittent ramp and lane closures on I-80
- Travel delays
