UDOT is resurfacing Main Street in Nephi City from the junction with I-15 on the north end of the city to the I-15 junction on the south end.

Resurfacing activities include asphalt removal and replacement along five miles of Main Street. This work will improve motorist safety by providing good traction and skid resistance for vehicles, and preserve and extend the life of the pavement. Crews are also reconstructing the sidewalk, curb, and gutter between 600 South and 700 South, replacing and installing new ADA (The Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant ramps along the corridor to improve pedestrian safety and access, and installing new storm drain pipe at 700 South to improve drainage in the area.

Construction is expected to be complete in September 2025.

Work Hours: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Work days: Monday - Friday, Saturdays as needed

Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions and material availability.

Concrete Work: May to August 2025

  • Replace pedestrian ramps along Main Street to bring them up to current ADA standards.
  • Replace driveways, curb, and gutter intermittently along the corridor to improve storm water drainage.
  • New concrete waterways at 300 S and 1300 S to improve drainage in these areas.

Motorists can expect shoulder closures, pedestrian detours, and temporary side street closures.

Paving: August to September 2025

  • Prior to paving, crews lowered utilitiy manholes beneath the surface of the road.
  • Mid-August, crews paved side street entrances off of Main Street to tie-in the old asphalt with the new.
  • Crews patched back the asphalt around the newly installed waterways and pedestrian ramps.
  • Mainline paving on Main Street started Monday, August 18. This is expected to take up to four weeks to complete.

One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction, but motorists can expect lane closures and slight travel delays during paving activities.
