Project Description

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will continue restriping State Route 85 (Mtn. View Corridor) in Salt Lake County from Old Bingham Hwy. to 13400 S, including various intersections from 6200 to 9000 S.  The project objectives have been aimed at preserving the life of the roadway by increasing the longevity of the road surface, address roadway imperfections, and enhance pedestrian/motorist safety. [ COMPLETE ]

 

Additional 2024 Spring/Summer miscellaneous work includes improving the line-of-sight for motorists at Old Bingham Highway, adding a northbound acceleration lane at 5400 S, widen the shoulders and upgrade the crash cushion at the SR-201(3500 S) westbound off-ramp to SR-85. Final updates include enhanced roadway directional messaging, and updated guardrail at intersections from Porter Rockwell to SR-201.  [ COMPLETE ]

Construction is substantially complete. Be prepared for potential shoulder or outside lane closures on Mountain View Corridor northbound by 5400 S and southbound near SR-201 while crews finish the project.

Nighttime Lane Striping

Work Hours: 9pm - 5am   

Work Days: Mon - Sat

Starting June 13th, crews will be restriping the roadway. Various sections of the Mountain View Corridor south of Old Bingham Hwy. will be restriped.   All work will be conducted mostly at night, however travel impacts will be light. (See Impacts & Updates Tab for more information)
