Study Overview
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has prepared a State Environmental Study (SES) to evaluate adding a lane to Legacy Parkway in each direction from Farmington to I-215. The new lanes will be added in the center, between the existing northbound and southbound lanes.
These improvements are part of a comprehensive effort to meet travel demand through the year 2050.
Final SES
The final SES has been approved and published. The document is now available for review here. Responses to public comments received during the formal comment period from Sept. 10 through Oct. 10, 2025 can be found in Appendix I.
Balloting for the two recommended noise walls began in November 2025 and has been extended through Feb. 11, 2026. Eligible property owners and residents were mailed a ballot to vote on the noise wall construction. The balloting results will be added to our website and sent out in an email blast shortly after the final deadline. For more details on the balloting process, visit our FAQ page.
We expect to select a contractor and begin construction in 2026. The final schedule and phasing will be determined by the contractor and project team.
