The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is making road, bike, and pedestrian improvements on Interstate 80 (I-80) and State Route 224 (SR-224). These updates will make it safer and easier to get where you need to go.

What’s Changing
This solution was selected based on the results of an environmental study completed in 2025. Key improvements include:
- More capacity added to the I-80 ramps
- Additional turn lanes, travel lanes, and bike lanes on SR-224 intersections at Ute Boulevard and Olympic Parkway
- Improvements on local roads and roundabouts
- New east-west pedestrian crossing on SR-224 near Ute Boulevard
- New buffered bike lanes on SR-224 from Olympic Parkway to Rasmussen Road
- Improved trail connections
