Small Piles, Big Benefits at Jeremy Ranch

Crews are now installing underground supports called micropiles to build strong foundations for the new bridges. For each support, crews drill a narrow, deep hole before placing a steel beam inside and filling it with a cement mixture called grout. These supports will help carry the massive weight of the new bridges. 
 

This method helps protect the existing bridges during construction and offers several benefits:

• Smaller equipment that fits in tight spaces
• Less ground disturbance
• Less noise and vibration than methods that hammer supports into the ground

Trail Shift Along Homestead Road

Heads up, trail users!

As construction at Jeremy Ranch moves forward, we will move the trail onto Homestead Road as needed for crews to work. This will continue through October then the trail will move to another location for the remainder of the project. We'll send another update when that change occurs. 

In the meantime, while the trail is on the road, barrels will separate the trail from vehicle traffic, making sure those who walk and bike can safely navigate the temporary route.
