UDOT will soon begin a project to add a raised median along SR-26 (Riverdale Road) in Riverdale, from approximately I-84 to 1050 West. Once constructed, the raised median will reduce or eliminate crossover and left-hand turn crashes along this section of heavily traveled road. This is a federally funded project sponsored by the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), whose purpose is to achieve a significant reduction in traffic fatalities and serious injuries on public roads.

Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2026.
