The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is installing a new Variable Message Sign (VMS) above southbound I-15 between 12300 South and Bangerter Highway. The overhead sign will provide real-time travel information, such as traffic conditions, incidents, weather impacts, and travel advisories, to improve communication with drivers and support safer, more informed travel decisions. This project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance mobility, safety, and traffic management along the I-15 corridor. Construction is scheduled to begin on July 20, 2026.

Project Overview

Traffic Impacts
Pony Express Road
Expect daytime lane shifts and shoulder restrictions on Pony Express Road between 12300 S. and 12650 S. from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Friday, August 7. Construction work will continue intermittently next week.
I-15 Between 12300 S. and Bangerter Hwy.
Motorists should expect overnight intermittent lane shifts and closures on I-15 between 12300 S. and Bangerter Hwy. on Wednesday, August 5 at 9 p.m. through the early morning hours.
