Current Work

Crews are currently working on bridge maintenance on northbound I-15 at 5900 South in Murray. Work is then anticipated to move to 4500 South in Murray as early as July 12.

Project Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is improving bridges on I-15 at several locations in Salt Lake County to extend the life of the structures and provide a smoother ride for drivers. Work will take place June – November 2024 and include:

  • Expansion joint upgrades
  • Pavement replacement at the bridge joints
  • Protective layer application on bridge surfaces

What to Expect

Drivers can expect as few as one to two lanes open in the area between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. on most weekdays and three to four lanes open in the area on Saturdays and Sundays. No work will take place on Fridays. Plan ahead for delays and use an alternate route when possible. Visit udottraffic.utah.gov or download the UDOT Traffic app for up-to-date traffic information.
