Heber Valley Railroad Trail

Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is proposing improvements of an asphalt trail along the Heber Valley Railroad corridor in Wasatch County, Utah, to improve active transportation and recreational access and connectivity.  The proposed improvements include a paved asphalt trail system to be built in three sections, of which this public meeting will be specific to sections A & C.  Section A is that portion starting near the end of Deer Creek Reservoir multi-use trail parking area and continuing to the intersection of Tate Ln and SR-113.  Section C is that portion from 1200 South to the intersection of 300 South and 600 West in Heber City, also known as the Heber Valley Railroad terminal.  Section C provides for an at-grade crossing at approximately 1050 South and 1140 West in Heber City.  Both sections of the trail will generally follow the existing railroad corridor.

The environmental categorical exclusion study and trail design are anticipated to be completed in late spring of 2025 with construction anticipated in the fall of 2025.

This notice is to inform the public that there will be a Public Open House for this project to provide information about the trail design and to give an opportunity to ask questions of the design team. Comments about the project will be received in person at the meeting. A draft of the environmental study will be available for review at the Public Open House.  If you have questions about this Public Open House, please visit https://udotinput.utah.gov/HVRRTrail or contact 1-888-704-4276.
